MaSTeR is the reference research group at the Microstructural analysis laboratories of the University of Bergamo for:

• Microstructural analysis of steels, cast iron, inox, aluminum and other alloys
• Failure analysis
• Optical and electronic microscopy (SEM) with EDS for qualitative and quantitative analysis (also dry non-conductive specimens)
• Evaluation of grain size and inclusions
• Vickers and Knoop Microhardness tests
• Thermal treatments
• Evaluation of sensitization and precipitation of phases
