The conference will be held at the University of Bergamo (Università degli studi di Bergamo, via Salvecchio 19, Aula 3, 1st floor) which is located in the Upper Town, Città Alta (see the maps of the University).
The Upper Town can be reached by bus or by funicular. Bus number 1, which runs every twelve minutes from the railway station, takes you to the funicular (where you will need to show your ticket in order to pass through the gate). Bus number 1A, instead, takes you directly to the Upper Town (final stop at Colle Aperto). Note that tickets may not be bought on board, but are available from newsagents. The cost of the single fare is €1. A ticket for 10 rides ("tesserino per 10 corse") costs € 7.50. The ticket has a 75-minute validity. From the Upper Town you can go back to the Lower Town either by taking the funicular again, or buses 1A/B/C from Colle Aperto. Bus 1C goes as far as Orio al Serio Airport.
The Conference will be in English.
All conference rooms are equipped with OHP, microphone and slide or video projector.
Bergamo is in Northern Italy, 52 Km of Milan, on the way to Lake Garda and Venice. Thanks to its international airport (sometimes advertised as 'Milan-Orio al
Serio', or Milan-BGY) Bergamo can be reached by low costs flights from many European cities.
