The goal of this course is to focus students' attention on specific dimensions and features of firms' international strategies, and to provide frameworks and tools to formulate and evaluate these strategies in an increasingly complex and globalized world economy and society.
The course uses a combination of lectures, case studies, class discussions and real accounts from the world of business and management consulting. Among its objectives, the course aims to: (i) expose students to advanced international business topics, by focusing on specific strategic issues, regional areas and industries, and by using the strategic management perspective; (ii) develop the analytical skills of problem identification, problem setting and problem solving in the context of international strategies; (iii) take full advantage of the diverse background and experiences of the students enrolled in the course to enrich the collective learning of all.

The course is informed by management practice and explores a number of synergies with the activities of the Center for Young & Family Enterprise (CYFE) of the University of Bergamo and the courses Strategic Management (37033) and Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation (37027).
