The study of the buckling behaviour of plunger-rod and double-effect hydraulic actuators is carried out by using analytical models able to take into account friction, rectilinear imperfections and the actual geometric configuration of the hydraulic actuators. The reliability of the analytical models is checked by means of experimental tests carried out on a full-scale equipment opportunely designed and developed.
