On 15 July 2009 Europe's Educational, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has selected the University of Bergamo as coordinator of a new Erasmus Mundus Joint PhD Programme called CULTURAL STUDIES IN LITERARY INTERZONES.

This is the only humanities programme among the 13 projects selected by the EU (Reference: 159881-1-2009-1-IT-ERA-MUNDUS-EMJD).
Fellowships are offered to both non-EU (Category A) and EU (Category B) citizens. The monthly salary, from which to deduct tax owed by the fellowship holder, is 2,000 Euros.
Applications will be open from the beginning of November 2009 for the first round of doctoral students (2010-11).
