
Alessandro Fassò è professore di Statistica e direttore del Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione e Metodi Matematici dell'Università di Bergamo. Membro del Senato Accademico. Ordinario presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dal 2000 dove era già professore associato dal 1998. Precedentemente è stato ricercatore presso l'Università Cattolica di Milano a partire dal 1987.

Alessandro Fassò is full professor of Statistics from 2000, head of the Department of Information Technology and Mathematical Methods at the Bergamo University and member of the Academic Senate. He has been serving Bergamo University as associate professor since 1998. Before that, he has been researcher of Statistics at the Catholic University of Milan since 1987.
Secretary of The International Environmetrics Society (TIES), elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), member of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and the Italian research group on environmental statistics GRASPA. Member of the Editorial Board of Advances in Statistical Analysis (AStA) and Statistica e Applicazioni (S&A), he collaborates as referee/reviewer with several journals.
Author of some eighty papers mainly on statistical methods and application on environmetrics, sensitivity analysis of computer models, environmental time-series, spatio-temporal data, stochastic monitoring, industrial statistics and structural and geotechnical surveillance, quality control and financial time series analysis.
