Prof. Davide Torsello

Davide Torsello is associate professor of social anthropology. He has received a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, an MA in cultural anthropology from the Hirosaki University (Japan), an MSc in social anthropology from the London School of Economics, a BA in Japanese studies from the Oriental University Institute of Napoli. His research interests are: postsocialism, trust, social networks, social transformation in rural societies, corruption and value orientations. He has undertaken fieldwork research in Japan, Central Eastern Europe and Southern Italy.
