Students are required to posses basic knowledge about business management and organization, innovation and strategic management of technology.
The main objective of the course is to train the student to work in team to address an assigned project to design innovative solutions upon validated needs in the patient journey. The practical activities of the laboratory is aimed at improving technical and communication skills.
The course aims to provide the theoretical and practical tools for design driven innovation in health-care and life sciences sectors.
Students will work in team to develop a project related to medical technology/management and to obtain attended results. Meetings with the faculty will address project aims, theoretical background and specific knowledge related to the project activities. Project tutoring will be provided continuously during the entire duration of the project.
Evaluation of the project results, knowledge acquired and skills will be evaluated at the end of each project on the basis of a public presentation by each project team.
Would the course be taught in blended or distance-based teaching modes, modifications might be carried out with respect to above, to make the course and the exams accessible under the new teaching modes.
