To maximize learning, basic knowledge of Group dynamics, Personality psychology and organizational psychology are recommended
At the end of the course, the student will have knowledge and experience of coaching in professional contexts. Students will have theoretical knowledge about the effectiveness of coaching, intercultural sensitivity and the use of positive psychology in the workplace. Students will be confident in having a coaching conversation with colleagues, will be able to coach using strengths and will be aware of the use of coaching as a leadership style.
Executive coaching, three-way contracting, positive psychology in the workplace, interculturally-sensitive coaching and use of strengths.
This course is highly interactive, and students can expect to be involved in group discussions, paired activities and practice coaching sessions. There will be some use of videos of coaching practice to support the learning of the students
Assessment will be through the submission of a video of coaching practice and a written reflective log that references relevant academic literature.
