Quoting the Other.
This module centres on citation, which, among intertextual practices, stands out for its pervasiveness both in spoken and in written language, and about which the theoretical debate is particularly rich in the French context. The analysis of various examples, mainly but not exclusively taken from the cultural press, will prove that citation, by inscribing alterity in discours, constitutes a category of enunciation.
Contents will be also discussed in a teaching perspective, so as to provide opportunities for further analyses.
