I held a degree in Political Sciences from the University of Milan and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Bologna. Currently I'm Adjunct Professor of Sociology of Multiculturalism at the University of Bergamo. My research interests concern immigration, second generations, intergenerational relations (parenting styles, religion, language) national belonging and citizenship. I also dealt with the issue of immigrant representation by trade unions and the issue of hate crime. Currendly I dealt with the issue of attitudes, behaviors, beliefs and rituals relating to death and dying. I also worked on policies of inclusion for Roma and Sinti populations.
