Chiplight

The international summer school «ChipLight: Building the Future of Integrated Photonics» is a two-week intensive education and research programme hosted by Riga Technical University (RTU), taking place 3–14 August 2026. Integrated photonics is becoming one of the world’s fastest-growing technology areas, enabling faster, more energy-efficient, and more compact solutions for applications such as data transmission, AI, 6G communications, data centres, sensing, and quantum technologies. In this context, ChipLight is designed as a bridge between academic learning and rapidly evolving industry needs—especially in areas such as microchip design fundamentals, testing, and packaging.

Target group: The summer school is open to master students of Medical Engineering.
