Applications are accepted from 20 Aprile to 20 May 2026, no later than 12 noon (Central European Summer Time) and are subject to availability.

The HSS courses

- are taught in English

- are held online in virtual classrooms managed by individual lecturers and involve groups with a limited number of students to ensure maximum participation in the lessons

- they can be recognized in the curriculum instead of 5/6 CFU/ECTS courses, subject to the approval of the student’s Degree Course administration, as elective courses (a scelta libera) or additional credits

- can be taken up to a maximum of 3 (corresponding to the total number of courses offered in the 2025 edition)

- require exams to be taken in a single session (a final exam at the end of the course, in addition to any in itinere exams)

- take place online and require active participation with cameras switched on

The courses require compulsory attendance for at least 80 per cent of the classes (Monday to Friday) and a B2 level (or higher) of English.

At the end of the course and subject to passing the final exam, as well as any intermediate tests (the one and the other are compulsory and delivered in a single exam session), a certificate will be issued. Students may forward it to their own university administration and, in the case of the University of Bergamo, to their Consiglio del Corso di Studio, if they want to request recognition of 5 or 6 credits (CFU) as an elective course (scelta libera) or as additional credits.

All instructions are given in the Call for Applications (Bando di ammissione) and in the registration form

The courses are free of charge for
