La Banca d'Italia ha avviato un programma di tirocini extracurriculari rivolto a neolaureati in discipline economiche e statistiche.

I tirocini extracurriculari rappresentano un'opportunità per integrare le conoscenze acquisite durante il percorso universitario con un'esperienza pratica, partecipando a un progetto di ricerca empirica su temi di economia regionale.

Le attività si svolgeranno presso la Sede di Milano della Banca d'Italia, nell'ambito della Divisione promotrice dell'iniziativa. La durata prevista è di tre mesi, con avvio indicativamente nel mese di ottobre 2026, ed è prevista la possibilità di una proroga fino a ulteriori tre mesi.

Si comunica che la Banca d’Italia intende attivare tirocini extracurriculari della durata di dodici mesi a favore di laureati in possesso di laurea magistrale a ciclo unico/magistrale (o specialistica) appartenente alle classi di laurea Giurisprudenza (LMG/01) o Scienze giuridiche (LM/SC-GIUR) o altro diploma equiparato.

L’iniziativa è diretta a favorire l’integrazione delle competenze maturate dai tirocinanti nei percorsi accademici con una concreta esperienza presso la Segreteria tecnica dell’Arbitro Bancario Finanziario (ABF) e a orientare i laureati verso un tema di rilevante contenuto istituzionale per la Banca d’Italia1.

I contenuti formativi e le modalità di selezione dei candidati sono analiticamente descritti nell’Avviso di bando allegato.

Nel corso della selezione particolare importanza verrà attribuita alla tesi di laurea, alla conoscenza dell’attività dell’ABF, alle esperienze professionali e di studio maturate dai candidati, a eventuali progetti e pubblicazioni inerenti agli obiettivi del tirocinio nonché alle motivazioni alla partecipazione.

Your team

You will be part of the ECB’s Data Protection Office. Data protection safeguards the freedoms and fundamental rights of individuals regarding how their personal data are processed. The Data Protection Officer reports directly to the ECB’s Executive Board and is responsible for ensuring that relevant EU data protection law is correctly applied at the ECB.

 

We are currently working on data protection issues related to cloud computing, artificial intelligence, the digital euro project and many other innovations. In your role as a Data Protection trainee, you will be part of a dynamic team of enthusiastic professionals. Our team is responsible for providing advice to colleagues across the ECB, raising awareness about data protection, investigating incidents and other matters related to data protection, liaising with the European Data Protection Supervisor and conducting data protection audits. We work closely with all ECB departments and with a network of data protection officers from other EU institutions, national central banks and national competent authorities.

You will be part of the Budget and Controlling Division in the Directorate Finance. As the finance budget partner of all ECB business areas, our Division supports the planning, monitoring, reporting and controlling of resources across the ECB and provides decision-making support to internal and external stakeholders. We also deliver secretariat services for three committees and are responsible for the supervisory fee framework. You will be part of the Directorate General Statistics (DG/S). Our Directorate General has over 300 staff working to strengthen Europe by supporting ECB decision-making with high-quality data and statistics. Our statistics inform central banking and banking supervision policy decisions, as well as the public at large. This is done in close collaboration with the European System of Central Banks, the European Commission, the banking industry, national competent authorities and international bodies.

 

In your role as a trainee, you will contribute directly to the work of the Directorate General Statistics. You will form part of a team responsible for collecting and validating data, producing, publishing and disseminating data and statistical indicators using innovative methods (including AI solutions), managing and governing data and/or metadata, and keeping the related documentation and tools fit for purpose. You will be part of the Directorate General Legal Services. Our Directorate General comprises around 160 lawyers from the 27 EU Member States. We advise on the legal aspects of the regulatory, contractual and institutional framework of the ECB, the European System of Central Banks and the Single Supervisory Mechanism. Our work includes drafting legal instruments and advising on the interpretation of the EU Treaties. We also prepare the ECB’s opinions on draft EU and national legislation and contribute to defining the ECB’s legal position with regard to EU institutions, Member States and international fora.

 

In your role as a trainee, you will be assigned to one of three divisions: the Institutional Law Division, the Supervisory Law Division or the Financial Law Division.
